The TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) is an official French language proficiency test developed by France Éducation International. It evaluates your French level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, from A1 to C2.

TCF Tout Public (TCF TP)

The TCF Tout Public is designed for candidates who need an official assessment of their French language proficiency for academic, professional, or personal purposes. It is commonly required for admission to universities in France and other French-speaking countries.

How to Register for Your TCF Exam

Follow these steps to book your examination at Alliance Française de Karachi.

    • Check the requirements of your immigration pathway, university, employer, or official authority before registering.

      Note: Alliance Française de Karachi provides official testing services but does not offer immigration-related consultation.

  • TCF exam dates can be booked freely throughout the year, subject to availability. Candidates must inform the Front Desk at least 5 days in advance.

    For example, if you contact us on the 10th, the exam can be booked for a date after the 16th, depending on availability.

    • To begin registration, email frontdesk@afkarachi.com with the following details:

      Your full name
      The exam name: TCF or TEF
      Your preferred exam date

      Our Front Desk team will confirm whether your chosen date is possible. If not, alternative dates will be suggested.

    • Once the date is confirmed, the Front Desk will send you an Excel registration form and payment details.

      Your registration will be finalized after the completed form and payment confirmation have been received.

  • A few days before your exam, you will receive a confirmation document with your exam venue, time, and other important instructions.

Computer-Based TCF Exam

The TCF is conducted on a secure digital platform under official examination conditions. Candidates complete the exam on a computer at the designated testing venue.

The computer-based format allows for a smooth and standardized testing experience while maintaining the official assessment criteria required by France Éducation International.

Results and Certificate

TCF results are issued after official processing. The certificate indicates your score and corresponding CEFR level from A1 to C2.

TCF certificates are valid for two years from the date of issue.
