FAQs

Can my child take the Adult DELF if they are under 17?

1

While technically possible, we strongly recommend the Junior or Prim versions. The exam structure and difficulty are identical, but the topics and vocabulary are specifically designed to be age-appropriate for children and teenagers.

Does the Junior certificate mention "Junior" on the diploma?

2

Yes, the diploma will specify the version, but it carries the same official weight and lifelong validity as the adult version for university admissions or future employment.

What happens if my child turns 13 between the April and November sessions?

3

They would move from DELF Prim to DELF Junior. Each version is specifically restricted by the candidate's age at the time of the exam.

What is the difference between the DELF/DALF and the TCF exam for migration?

4

The TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) is a temporary placement test that provides a "snapshot" of your level and is only valid for two years. In contrast, the DELF and DALF are official diplomas that never expire. While both are accepted for immigration to France or Canada (Express Entry/Quebec), most students and professionals in Karachi prefer the DELF because the qualification is valid for life and does not need to be retaken.

Why Take the DELF/DALF? Benefits of Official French Certification

Earning an official French language diploma is a transformative step for students and professionals in Pakistan. Because these certificates are issued by the French Ministry of Education, they serve as the ultimate proof of proficiency for international audiences. Unlike temporary tests, the DELF and DALF are valid for life, meaning your investment today continues to provide value throughout your entire career.

Key Benefits of Becoming DELF Certified

  • University Admissions: A DELF B2 or DALF C1 is often a mandatory requirement for admission into undergraduate and graduate programs at French universities.

  • Global Career Growth: Multinationals and international NGOs prioritize candidates with official French proficiency certificates for roles in Europe, Africa, and Canada.

  • Immigration Points: These diplomas are highly recognized for migration processes, including Express Entry to Canada or residency in French-speaking territories.

  • Academic Credibility: The levels (A1 to C2) align with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), ensuring your skills are understood worldwide.
