FAQs
Which version of the test should I take for Canadian immigration?
1
For general Canadian federal immigration streams (like Express Entry), you must select TEF Canada. If you are specifically applying to move to the province of Quebec, you should register for the TEFAQ.
How does the computer-based e-TEF work?
2
The exam questions follow the exact same evaluation standards as traditional paper versions, but you will complete the modules using a computer terminal inside the secure testing room at our Clifton campus.
Can I retake individual components if I miss my target score?
3
Yes. Through the standard e-TEF track, components can be taken individually at a rate of PKR 25,000 per module, allowing you to focus on specific skills like speaking or writing.
What is the difference between the DELF/DALF and the TCF exam for migration?
4
The TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) is a temporary placement test that provides a "snapshot" of your level and is only valid for two years. In contrast, the DELF and DALF are official diplomas that never expire. While both are accepted for immigration to France or Canada (Express Entry/Quebec), most students and professionals in Karachi prefer the DELF because the qualification is valid for life and does not need to be retaken.
