Expo : Breathing Algorithms
Isabelle Arvers
Isabelle Arvers is a French artist, curator, and PhD in Multimedia Art from LARSyS, ITI, FBAUL. For over 20 years, she has explored art and video games, pioneering machinima—films made with game engines—and leading 100+ workshops since 2009. Her 2012 machinima works focus on hacking and creative potential.
In 2019, she began a world tour interviewing 300+ artists across 18 countries, emphasizing queer, feminist, and decolonial practices. This informed her thesis on decolonizing art and games, the exhibition Aux futurs ancestraux, and collaborations like TechnOrisha and eFA.
Since 2021, she serves on the EDEN ARTECH scientific committee, exploring ethics and sustainability via trees, ancestral knowledge, and digital tech. Her tree-themed films—Virtual Tree (2022), Infinitree (2023), Liquid Forest (2023)—blend 3D, scans, and real footage, leading to Coral Sounds.

Architexture: This work is driven by a pseudo-generative algorithm and constructs urban landscapes from everyday objects—sports inventory—that float across the screen and freeze at random moments. Ping-pong rackets turn into trees and soccer fields transform into high-rises.
Because the algorithm freezes the objects at different random moments each time, the same elements create completely different scenes with every iteration. Once frozen and composed, everything rewinds and begins again from a blank canvas.
It's a playful approach to our living—it's all a game in a way, and we are all playing it.

Thibault Cauvin is much more than just a guitarist: his concerts are timeless moments of grace and rare poetry, where he magically draws in anyone who lends an ear.
At the age of twenty he was a prodigy with 36 major international prizes, the Federer of the guitar, the indomitable virtuoso. Then for fifteen years he was on the road, touring; a nomad, with no home or ties, guided by the stages of the world - over a thousand performances in nearly 130 countries - his classical guitar took on the colours of freedom and other lands. The insatiable adventurer that he is, he goes on to multiply his atypical duos and unlikely encounters, his unique personality becoming ever more sculpted, his inspirations constantly enriched.
