Adama, 12 ans, vit dans un village isolé d’Afrique de l’Ouest. Au-delà des falaises, s’étend le Monde des Souffles. Là où règnent les Nassaras. Une nuit, Samba, son frère aîné, disparaît. Adama, bravant l’interdit des anciens, décide de partir à sa recherche. Il entame, avec la détermination sans faille d’un enfant devenant homme, une quête qui va le mener au-delà là des mers, au Nord, jusqu’aux lignes de front de la Première Guerre mondiale. Nous sommes en 1916.
Gus petit oiseau, grand voyage de Christian de Vita, 2014, 90 min
À l’heure du départ pour la grande migration, Darius, le doyen de la volée, est blessé. Il va devoir confier tous ses secrets et le nouvel itinéraire du voyage au premier oiseau venu. Et cet oiseau… c’est notre héros, exalté à l’idée de découvrir enfin le monde… mais pas du tout migrateur !

The annual Fête du cinéma d’animation or Animated Cinema Festival raises awareness among the public and the media about "frame by frame" cinema, promoting animated films and their makers. Its genesis and its implementation are articulated with the World Day of Animated Cinema, celebrated on October 28 in homage to Émile Reynaud, pioneer of the film frame by frame and in commemoration of his first public screening of animated tapes, at Paris, at the Musée Grévin, precisely on October 28, 1892.
This event takes place each year simultaneously in hundreds of cities in France, and in the cultural network abroad. Thanks to the Institut français, all continents participate in the Festival through screenings, meetings and workshops. For nearly 20 years, the Animation Film Festival has been developing and making October the month for animation cinema throughout France and around the world. It mobilizes more than 250 cultural (cinemas, media libraries, museums, cultural institutes, etc.) and educational venues (schools, leisure centers, etc.) which organize hundreds of events.
